Good Relaxing Massage

Since I accumulated a lot of massage hours I can for for a full 2-hour massage at massage envy. After being in the sun fishing and standing for so many hours we went to Carlsbad for our 4 o'clock massage appointment. The massage was very relaxing and 2 hours I think is long enough. I would say 1.5 hours is good enough. Since I have these massage hours that I haven't used, I decided to try the full 2-hr massage. I felt relax and I think also feel as sleep for probably at least an hour. Finally all the tensions in my upper back, shoulder and neck is more relax. After the relaxing massage my husband and I went to Vons to buy some grocery.

Palin is Resigning?

I was checking my yahoo email today to see what's new or if there's an update. I usually go to the main page and the hight light for today is the Alaskan governor's resignation. I am surprise that Palin announced her resignation from office and her service is only 'til the end of this month. This is indeed a very shocking new to many people especially for all the people in Alaska. They probably didn't expect that sudden news.

I am wondering what's next for her. Do you think she is going to run for the White House for 2012?

Handyman Never Showed Up

Well he just lost a business. I have quite few things that needs to be done in the house like changing the faucet and as well as the outlets and switch. I got the handyman contact through San Diego craigslist website. I did call the guy during lunch time and set up an appointment with him to meet up in my house to give me an estimate, we agreed that he is coming over around 5:30 or so in the afternoon. I said that this is a very good timing because we should be home by then. Around 5:30 or 5:45 has passed and no handy man showed up. I really don't like people who cannot keep their word especially if the appointment has already been set up. I can understand if there's a special reason why the appointment haven't meet but by not showing up and not letting the other party know is so unacceptable. Good thing is there's another handyman I called and he did respond with my voincemail. Since I really need my faucets replace and the soonest available appointment this guy have is tomorrow. Unfortunately we are busy. We are going to the Del Mar Fair in the morning probably until 2pm then I have party to attend in the afternoon. One of my friends baby is celebrating her first birthday. I am excited again to see my friends and meet new people here in San Diego.
Anyhow, my handyman's appointment will on on Sunday morning around 8 or 830 in the morning since next weekend is 4th of July and it's no fun to work during holidays.

Hello Monday!

I just can't believe it's almost April. My birthday is coming up. Have no plans yet. I may have small get together with a few of my friends. Since I just moved here in CA recently I really don't have a lot friends though I met a few Filipinos and I think they are nice people. Anyway, been so busy lately that I didn't even have a lot of chance to keep my blog updated. I will give an effort to keep y'all updated with one of my blog at least one blog a day.

It's PST here and am up early with my work. I enjoy working early in the morning like threeiesh because I feel like I have longer hours to do something than getting up late and going to work later and I only have a few hours in the day.

I guess my body clock is starting to get used of me getting up early because I don't feel tired that much when I get up. Before I was a bit tired and very sleepy probably because I also go to bed a little bit later than my schedule. I tried to get at least 6 hours of sleep that's why I go to bed around 730 or 8 and get up around quarter to 2 or at 2 o'clock the most. This gives me enough time to toast 1 bagel, shower, and dress-up to go to work.

Four states' unemployment rates above 10%

Since many of us are hit with a major economy problem, I thought that this might be an interesting article I recently read from yahoo news. Job security is a major concern for many of us. This article is talking about different unemployment rate accross united states. Top states who are almost reaching 10% unemployment rate is not surprising at all.

Wednesday March 11, 12:39 pm ET
By Julianne Pepitone, CNNMoney.com contributing writer

As unemployment soared in January, four states' jobless rates climbed higher than 10%, according to federal data released Wednesday.
In January, 49 states and the District of Columbia recorded month-over-month unemployment rate increases, the Labor Department reported. All 50 states and the District of Columbia had higher rates than the previous year.
Nonfarm job totals fell in 42 states, increased in 7 states and the District of Columbia, and were unchanged in Vermont.
Only Louisiana's jobless rate decreased. It fell to 5.1%, 0.4 percentage point lower than the previous month.
The report also included information for Puerto Rico. The U.S. commonwealth's jobless rate fell 0.5 percentage point from last month, but still stands at a whopping 13%.
The state-by-state unemployment report for January came after the government reported Friday that employers slashed 651,000 jobs across the nation in February and a revised 655,000 jobs in January.
That brought job losses over the last six months to more than 3.3 million. The nation's unemployment rate in February stood at 8.1%, its highest level in 25 years and up from 7.6% in January.
Wednesday's report shows jobless rates in several states soared in January, with four surging through the double-digit percentage level. Michigan, South Carolina, Rhode Island and California led U.S. jobless rates.
Leading states: The jobless rate in Michigan led the pack, soaring 1.4 percentage points to 11.6%. The state lost 69,000 jobs.
The auto industry downturn has hammered Detroit - the state's manufacturing sector accounted for 53,000 of these jobs lost.
Michigan's current unemployment rate is the highest since May 1984, during another rough time for automakers, said Rick Waclawek, a director at the state's labor department.
The state with the second-highest rate was South Carolina, where the jobless rate jumped 1.6 percentage points to 10.4%. South Carolina tied with North Carolina and Oregon for the largest month-over-month rate increase.
South Carolina also tied with North Carolina for the largest jobless rate increases from the previous year, at 4.7 percentage points.
The state with the third-highest unemployment rate, Rhode Island, capped a full year of consecutive job losses for the state. Its unemployment rate climbed 0.9 percentage point to 10.3%.
The unemployment rate in California, the nation's most populous state, was the fourth highest. It climbed 1.4 percentage points to 10.1%.
Lowest rates: Wyoming had the lowest unemployment rate, at 3.7%. That's a 0.5 percentage point increase from December.
North Dakota's jobless rate was second lowest. It climbed 0.9 percentage point to 4.2%.
State budget issues: The job losses have weighed on state budgets. When people lose their jobs, they pay less in personal state income tax, they spend less money, and rely more on public-funded programs.
It's a bitter cocktail for the states. At least 46 of them face shortfalls this year or next, according to Nick Johnson, director of the state fiscal project at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
States are leaning on the $140 billion included for them in President Obama's $787 billion package, which is meant to stimulate the economy and promote job growth.
But that's only about 40% of states' combined budget gaps for the remainder of the current fiscal year and the next two years, Johnson said.
Chad Stone, chief economist, said the Center is "pretty confident" the stimulus package will start to have an impact over 2009.
"Given the momentum of the downturn, this money will merely slow the decline rather than turn it around," Stone said. "It's going to be hard to see the effect even if it's working well."

Give A Bit of Time in Blogging

I feel so bad for some of my blogs since I don't have a lot of time to keep them up to date. I am going to try my best to write an update 1 or 2 blog a day at a time. Since I started working I've been so fully occupied with my new responsibilities. So much work to do and to get done since I just started working for the company. Of course I want to prove to them that I am capable of doing what they asked me to do. By helping the company means I am also helping myself and my family. Been working with my part-time job for a little while and so far I enjoy my work. Hopefully the company is gonna keep me for a little while since last week they were downsizing again.
